Location of the Eiffel Tower – Paris, France

Back in the 19th century, Paris was the site of several World Exhibitions. The one that took place in 1889 on Champ de Mars was meant to offer the people something great to remember.

So there, on the shore of river Seine, the Eiffel Tower was erected at the northwest end of Champ de Mars, the location of the exhibition.

Today, it lies within the limits of the 7th Paris city district. The exact Eiffel Tower location is:

Latitude: 48º 51′ 30″ North
Longitude: 002º 17′ 40″ East

There are, of course, some Eiffel Tower replicas, but obviously their location is quite different from that of the original structure.
